Hearts For Kids started out as a heartfelt wish to help others in 2014. As she was watching a TV show when she was in the second grade, Faith learned about kids in foster and adoption homes and she really wanted to do something for them. So she came up with the idea to start a Valentine’s project for the kids awaiting foster care and adoption in the Rapid City area. That year with the help of her school, they made over 600 Valentines for the Children’s Home Society. Another year came by and they decided to take it a little farther and got their church involved as well. Now Faith is a Junior in High School and the ministry has since continued to grow, as have the places that she’s delivering Valentines to each year. Last year she collected over 6200 Valentines and delivered them to such places as the Children’s Home, the Women’s and Children’s Shelter, the Juvenile Detention Center, and children at the Hospital. This year she’s expecting more Valentines and will be expanding to bless some others in need of hope and love.
